Overview

miRToolsGallery is a database of miRNA tools. It provides the following services: (a) Search(b) Filter and (c) Rank the tools. Our database aim to make it easy for researchers to find the right tools or data source for their own specific study in miRNA field. And it’s also very convenient for writing a tools review paper. Now we have collect above 1000 tools. miRToolsGallery will update when every new 100 tools add in. The first public online was in 1st Oct, 2016, and latest update time is 22nd April, 2018(v1.2).

  • Filter and Rank : Give user max flexibility to filter and rank the tools and return a table view.
  • Tutorials : Give two application examples and tell user how to use miRToolsGallery.
  • Tags Gallery : Print Word Cloud for the tags.
  • Logo Gallery : Randomly list logo of tools in the database, give each tool evenly opportunity to be find by user.
  • Review Paper Gallery : List the collection of miRNA tools review papers.

miR-Synth

Submitted by ChenLiang on Fri, 09/02/2016 - 21:59

RNAi is a powerful tool for the regulation of gene expression. It is widely and successfully employed in functional studies and is now emerging as a promising therapeutic approach. Several RNAi-based clinical trials suggest encouraging results in the treatment of a variety of diseases, including cancer. Here we present miR-Synth, a computational resource for the design of synthetic microRNAs able to target multiple genes in multiple sites.

isomiRID

MicroRNAs (miRNAs) have been extensively studied owing to their important regulatory roles in genic expression. An increasingly number of reports are performing extensive data mining in small RNA sequencing libraries to detect miRNAs isoforms and also 5' and 3' post-transcriptional nucleotide additions, as well as edited miRNAs sequences. A ready to use pipeline, isomiRID, was developed to standardize and automatize the search for miRNAs isoforms in high-throughput small RNA sequencing libraries.

MicroRNAs (miRNAs) are small non-coding nucleotide sequences between 17 and 25 nucleotides in length that primarily function in the regulation of gene expression. A since miRNA has thousand of predict targets in a complex, regulatory cell signaling network. Therefore, it is of interest to study multiple target genes simultaneously. Hence, we describe a web tool (developed using Java programming language and MySQL database server) to analyse multiple targets of pre-selected miRNAs.

miRSeqNovel

Submitted by ChenLiang on Fri, 09/02/2016 - 21:59

We present miRSeqNovel, an R based workflow for miRNA sequencing data analysis. miRSeqNovel can process both colorspace (SOLiD) and basespace (Illumina/Solexa) data by different mapping algorithms. It finds differentially expressed miRNAs and gives conservative prediction of novel miRNA candidates with customized parameters. miRSeqNovel is freely available at http://sourceforge.net/projects/mirseq/files.[1]

Recent emerging studies suggest that a substantial fraction of microRNA (miRNA) genes is likely to form clusters in terms of evolutionary conservation and biological implications, posing a significant challenge for the research community and shifting the bottleneck of scientific discovery from miRNA singletons to miRNA clusters. In addition, the advance in molecular sequencing technique such as next-generation sequencing (NGS) has facilitated researchers to comprehensively characterize miRNAs with low abundance on genome-wide scale in multiple species.

miR-isomiRExp

Submitted by ChenLiang on Fri, 09/02/2016 - 21:59

MicroRNA (miRNA) locus has been found that can generate a series of varied isomiR sequences. Most studies always focus on determining miRNA level, however, the canonical miRNA sequence is only a specific member in the multiple isomiRs. Some studies have shown that isomiR sequences play versatile roles in biological progress, and the analysis and research should be simultaneously performed at the miRNA/isomiR levels.
