Overview

miRToolsGallery is a database of miRNA tools. It provides the following services: (a) Search(b) Filter and (c) Rank the tools. Our database aim to make it easy for researchers to find the right tools or data source for their own specific study in miRNA field. And it’s also very convenient for writing a tools review paper. Now we have collect above 1000 tools. miRToolsGallery will update when every new 100 tools add in. The first public online was in 1st Oct, 2016, and latest update time is 22nd April, 2018(v1.2).

  • Filter and Rank : Give user max flexibility to filter and rank the tools and return a table view.
  • Tutorials : Give two application examples and tell user how to use miRToolsGallery.
  • Tags Gallery : Print Word Cloud for the tags.
  • Logo Gallery : Randomly list logo of tools in the database, give each tool evenly opportunity to be find by user.
  • Review Paper Gallery : List the collection of miRNA tools review papers.
  • Submit Tools : We still need all user's kindly help to improve the miRToolsGallery.
  • Contact us : User can get in touch with us through this page to send feedback.

MicroRNAs (miRNAs) are a class of short, non-coding RNA that play regulatory roles in a wide variety of biological processes, such as plant growth and abiotic stress responses. Although several computational tools have been developed to identify primary miRNAs and precursor miRNAs (pre-miRNAs), very few provide the functionality of locating mature miRNAs within plant pre-miRNAs.

Genome-wide transcriptome profiling after gene perturbation is a powerful means of elucidating gene functional mechanisms in diverse contexts. The comprehensive collection and analysis of the resulting transcriptome profiles would help to systematically characterize context-dependent gene functional mechanisms and conduct experiments in biomedical research.

Cancer stem cells (CSCs), which have the ability to self-renew and differentiate into various tumor cell types, are a special class of tumor cells. Characterizing the genes involved in CSCs regulation is fundamental to understand the mechanisms underlying the biological process and develop treatment methods for tumor therapy. Recently, much effort has been expended in the study of CSCs and a large amount of data has been generated. However, to the best of our knowledge, database dedicated to CSCs is not available until now.

In early 2015, a ZIKA Virus (ZIKV) infection outbreak was recognized in northeast Brazil, where concerns over its possible links with infant microcephaly have been discussed. Providing a causal link between ZIKV infection and birth defects is still a challenge. MicroRNAs (miRNAs) are small noncoding RNAs (sncRNAs) that regulate post-transcriptional gene expression by translational repression, and play important roles in viral pathogenesis and brain development.

ExiMiR

High-quality expression data are required to investigate the biological effects of microRNAs (miRNAs). The goal of this study was, first, to assess the quality of miRNA expression data based on microarray technologies and, second, to consolidate it by applying a novel normalization method. Indeed, because of significant differences in platform designs, miRNA raw data cannot be normalized blindly with standard methods developed for gene expression.

SHARAKU

Deep sequencing of the transcripts of regulatory non-coding RNA generates footprints of post-transcriptional processes. After obtaining sequence reads, the short reads are mapped to a reference genome, and specific mapping patterns can be detected called read mapping profiles, which are distinct from random non-functional degradation patterns. These patterns reflect the maturation processes that lead to the production of shorter RNA sequences.
