Overview

miRToolsGallery is a database of miRNA tools. It provides the following services: (a) Search(b) Filter and (c) Rank the tools. Our database aim to make it easy for researchers to find the right tools or data source for their own specific study in miRNA field. And it’s also very convenient for writing a tools review paper. Now we have collect above 1000 tools. miRToolsGallery will update when every new 100 tools add in. The first public online was in 1st Oct, 2016, and latest update time is 22nd April, 2018(v1.2). 

  • Filter and Rank : Give user max flexibility to filter and rank the tools and return a table view.
  • Tutorials : Give two application examples and tell user how to use miRToolsGallery.
  • Tags Gallery : Print Word Cloud for the tags.
  • Logo Gallery : Randomly list logo of tools in the database, give each tool evenly opportunity to be find by user.  
  • Review Paper Gallery : List the collection of miRNA tools review papers.

MicroRNAs (miRNAs) are a set of small non-coding RNAs serving as important negative gene regulators. In animals, miRNAs turn down protein translation by binding to the 3' UTR regions of target genes with imperfect complementary pairing. The identification of microRNA targets has become one of the major challenges of miRNA research. Bioinformatics investigations on miRNA target have resulted in a number of target prediction tools.

MicroRNAs (miRNAs) are an abundant class of small noncoding RNAs (20-24 nts) that can affect gene expression by post-transcriptional regulation of mRNAs. They play important roles in several biological processes (e.g., development and cell cycle regulation). Numerous bioinformatics methods have been developed to identify the function of miRNAs by predicting their target mRNAs. Some viral organisms also encode miRNAs, a fact that contributes to the complex interactions between viruses and their hosts.

myMIR

miRNA target genes prediction represents a crucial step in miRNAs functional characterization. In this context, the challenging issue remains predictions accuracy and recognition of false positive results. In this article myMIR, a web based system for increasing reliability of miRNAs predicted targets lists, is presented. myMIR implements an integrated pipeline for computing ranked miRNA::target lists and provides annotations for narrowing them down.

MicroRNAs (miRNAs) are small non-coding RNAs that regulate transcriptional processes via binding to the target gene mRNA. In animals, this binding is imperfect, which makes the computational prediction of animal miRNA targets a challenging task. The accuracy of miRNA target prediction can be improved with the use of machine learning methods. Previous work has described methods using supervised learning, but they suffer from the lack of adequate training examples, a common problem in miRNA target identification, which often leads to deficient generalization ability.

KUPKB

The information gathered from the large number of omics experiments in renal biology is underexplored, as it is scattered over many publications or held in supplemental data. To address this, we have developed an open-source Kidney and Urinary Pathway Knowledge Base (KUPKB) that facilitates simple exploration of these omics data. The KUPKB currently comprises 220 data sets (miRNA, mRNA, proteins, and metabolites) extracted from existing publications or databases.
