Overview

miRToolsGallery is a database of miRNA tools. It provides the following services: (a) Search(b) Filter and (c) Rank the tools. Our database aim to make it easy for researchers to find the right tools or data source for their own specific study in miRNA field. And it’s also very convenient for writing a tools review paper. Now we have collect above 1000 tools. miRToolsGallery will update when every new 100 tools add in. The first public online was in 1st Oct, 2016, and latest update time is 22nd April, 2018(v1.2).

  • Filter and Rank : Give user max flexibility to filter and rank the tools and return a table view.
  • Tutorials : Give two application examples and tell user how to use miRToolsGallery.
  • Tags Gallery : Print Word Cloud for the tags.
  • Logo Gallery : Randomly list logo of tools in the database, give each tool evenly opportunity to be find by user.
  • Review Paper Gallery : List the collection of miRNA tools review papers.
  • Submit Tools : We still need all user's kindly help to improve the miRToolsGallery.
  • Contact us : User can get in touch with us through this page to send feedback.

miCancerna

Associating microRNAs (miRNAs) with cancers is an important step of understanding the mechanisms of cancer pathogenesis and finding novel biomarkers for cancer therapies. In this study, we constructed a miRNA-cancer association network (miCancerna) based on more than 1,000 miRNA-cancer associations detected from millions of abstracts with the text-mining method, including 226 miRNA families and 20 common cancers.

miRTRAP

Submitted by ChenLiang on Tue, 01/09/2018 - 19:17

MicroRNAs (miRs) have been broadly implicated in animal development and disease. We developed a novel computational strategy for the systematic, whole-genome identification of miRs from high throughput sequencing information. This method, miRTRAP, incorporates the mechanisms of miR biogenesis and includes additional criteria regarding the prevalence and quality of small RNAs arising from the antisense strand and neighboring loci.

MicroRNAs (miRNAs) are a recently discovered class of non-coding RNAs that regulate gene and protein expression in plants and animals. MiRNAs have so far been identified mostly by specific cloning of small RNA molecules, complemented by computational methods. We present a computational identification approach that is able to identify candidate miRNA homologs in any set of sequences, given a query miRNA. The approach is based on a sequence similarity search step followed by a set of structural filters.[1]

Wgssat

Submitted by ChenLiang on Tue, 01/09/2018 - 19:14

Mining and characterization of SSR markers from whole genomes provide valuable information about biological significance of SSR distribution and also facilitate development of markers for genetic analysis. WGS-SSR Annotation Tool (WGSSAT) is a graphical user interface pipeline developed using Java Netbeans and Perl scripts which facilitates in simplifying the process of SSR mining and characterization.

Vigna mungo (Urdbean) is cultivated in the tropical and sub-tropical continental region of Asia. It is not only important source of dietary protein and nutritional elements, but also of immense value to human health due to medicinal properties. Yellow mosaic disease caused by Mungbean Yellow Mosaic India Virus is known to incur huge loss to crop, adversely affecting crop yield. Contrasting genotypes are ideal source for knowledge discovery of plant defence mechanism and associated candidate genes for varietal improvement.
